DEPARTMENT OF MICROBIOLOGY    INTRODUCTION The industrial Microbiology course for B.Sc was introduced as vocational course under new restructured group along with the combination of Zoology and Chemistry during the academic year 1998-99 under the guidance of Sri Raja RaoGaru, the then Principal and Sri C. Ragunath Reddy, Lecturer in Zoology was made incharge of the Department in Oct 1998. Sri Sudershan Reddy, Sri Bhaktavijayuduwere among the committee members of the department. With all their restless efforts established the Department of Industrial Microbiology in Room No. 7 of the College. Laboratory requirements such ad Equipment, Glassware, Chemicals and Books concerned were purchased under the supervision of Industrial Microbiology Committee. In the academic year 2006-07 Industrial Microbiology was changed to General Microbiology by considering the suggestions from Dept. of Microbiology, Osmania University, Hyderabad. As Industrial Microbiology course at B.Sc. level was stopped in the University area like Govt. City College, Hyderabad and Govt. Degree CollegeSiddipet. In the year 2013, one post was sanctioned on the strength of the students and ShaikhAkbarpasha was appointed as Assistant Professor in Microbiology through APPSC Direct Recruitment.
